Inner line permit for Indian Tourist
- It is for the information of general public /tourist visiting Leh District, Who are Indian nationals, that the following Identity Cards shall henceforth be treated as Inner line Permits:-
a) Indian Passport
b) Driving License
c) Service Identity Cards with photograph issued by Central/State Govt /PSU
d) PAN Card
e) Aadhar Card
f) Smart Card issued by Registrar General of India under national Population register
g) Election ID Card
- The following routes are permissible with the above mentioned Identity Cards:-
1) KHALTSE SUB-DIVISION (Drokanpa Area)
a) Khaltse –Domkhar –Sukarbuchan –Hanudo – Biama – Dha.
2) Nyoma Sub Division
a) Leh – Karu – Chang La – Durbuk – Tangtse – Lukung –Spangmik – Man-Merak (Pangong Lake)
b) Leh – Upshi – Chumathang – Mahe –Puga –Tsomoriri –Lake – Korzok – Loma Bend.
3) NUBRA SUB DIVISION
a) Leh – Khardung La – Khalsar – Hunder – Turtuk – Pachathang – Tyakshi.
b) Leh – Khardung La –Trith Upto Panamic.
c) Leh – Saboo-Digger La- to Khungru Gompa – Tangyar (only for trekking)
The Indian nationals, therefore, need not come to the office of District Magistrate for obtaining an ILP for the above mentioned routes.
The foreign nationals shall, however, need to obtain a proper permit from the office of District Magistrate, in terms of the Circulars/Orders of MHA, GOI.
